Allegra is the BRN Seed Curator and co-manages the Native Plant Materials Program at BRN. She is a passionate botanist and has studied systems across the country from Midwestern tall grass prairies and wetlands, to coastal Redwood forest, and now the Sky Islands of Southern Arizona. She has a Bachelors degree in Environmental Science from Northwestern University and trained in seed analysis at the National Seed Laboratory. Her work interests include intersectional social/ecological programming, documentation of local floral resources, providing local job opportunities, and making high quality native seed available in the native plant materials market. She is working on a flora of the Patagonia Mountains and building a pottery studio in Patagonia, which she has called home for 4 years.
