Damien Carlos (he/him) is from a community known as San Isidro within the Tohono O’odham Nation. His goal is to lead a life where he will be able to say he did everything he could to improve all life he met. He is passionate about ecological restoration, restoring Indigenous foodways and cultures, and improving his community. Damien is founder of the I’oligam Youth Alliance, an Earth Ambassador for United National Indian Tribal Youth, Inc. (UNITY), and serves on the Tribal Youth Health Advisory Board for the National Indian Health Board. He has been working with Borderlands Restoration Network since 2019. He currently facilitates the Ṣu:dagī ‘O Wuḍ Doakag (“Water is Life”) program based at Baboquivari High School on the Tohono O’odham Nation.
