Zach's Biography

My name is Ismael Vega Jr., I’m a fourth-year graduate of BECY. My whole experience with Borderlands has been nothing but amazing, it inspired me to see the beauty around me. Growing up in a small town desert setting made me always long for forest areas covered in greenery and trees, but because of BECY, I realized how amazing and beautiful the desert really is. The native plants that I would pass by without glancing twice are now the most amazing beautiful plants; the way nature found ways to live in such harsh environments gave me hope that I and others could do the same.​
