Kate’s childhood on a pre-industrial 11th century farm in West Wales has been her blueprint for connection, beauty, regenerative agriculture and community. Students were always part of her home life, her father taught agriculture practicum ranging from diverse livestock, arable crops, orchards and bee keeping; soil and composting the foundation. Her mother, a self taught naturalist with a passion for fungi, taught and encouraged her five daughters the delights and pleasures of the natural world, from observation to wildcrafting; from butter making to beer brewing; a life before convenience.
Kates childhood moniker, curiosity, has never dimmed, nor has her belief that each of us can make a life-changing difference once we understand what is possible and commit to the action needed to making it real. Kate is profoundly committed to inspiring this in the world though teaching, speaking and through her own life’s journey.
