My name is Miguel, and I am a Biology student at the University of Sonora. Since I was a child, I have belonged to the Scouts de México association, where I learned to value nature and discovered my passion for exploration. I enjoy exploring Sonora and discovering remote places of the state.
I have had the opportunity to work in the conservation of endangered species and I am currently working on a research article with Naturalia A.C. on the ocelot population in southern Sonora.
This year I had the chance to participate in the 2022 Sonoran Field Course. The lessons and learning I obtained from this course have changed my way of conceiving conservation, a topic I'm interested in developing. I am very excited to participate on the BRN Sonoran internship to continue learning and to be able to carry out ecological restoration projects.
