Margaret Furst's Biography

Picture
Margaret started her service to non profits as the endowment accountant for the Denver Art Museum and has since built 15 + years of experience as CFO for a variety of non profits, including the Arizona Theatre Company, Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, ACVREP which is an international organization certifying professionals who provide services to the visually impaired and Native Images, which provided social services to Native women and youth.
She has bachelors’ degrees in Anthropology from University of Arizona and Accounting from Metropolitan State University in Denver, Co. and has CPA certification in Arizona. She is also a Quickbooks Pro Advisor for small business clients.
As Director of Administrative Services, Margaret’s areas of responsibility include oversight of Business IT, Accounting, Human Resources, Facilities Management and post-award Grants Administration. The Administrative team provides these services to several organizations within the Borderlands Restoration Network , enhancing administrative efficiency and facilitating inter-company business among the Network members who all have distinct corporate structures but complementary missions.
