Delphinium wootonii or “mountain larkspur” is found in semidesert grassland/shrubland and woodland habitats at 2500-6000ft. It can grow up to 3ft tall when flowering and produces lavender colored, tubular flowers that bloom along a tall spike from May-June. This Larkspur is pollinated by native bees and hummingbirds. Plant in full sun in well draining soils.
