Borderlands Restoration Network supports conservation and immigration programs and policies that protect human and nonhuman life in the borderlands, while encouraging cross-cultural communication and learning. Therefore, we stand alongside border communities and organizations in opposition to physical barriers, activities, and policies that inhibit the inter-connectivity of wildlife, land, water, and people in the US/Mexico border region.
As a solutions-based organization, here are some examples of how we are implementing this policy:
Co-sponsoring with the Sierra Club the photography exhibition "Lens on the Border" in Patagonia, AZ.
Partnering with ranchers in Sonora, Mexico to improve habitat for migratory birds
Providing practical workshops for nurseries in Mexico to start to produce native plants
