boaz's Bio
Boaz Hill (he/him) started working for Borderlands Restoration Network in 2026 as a Watershed Restoration Technician. His work consists of both surveying for which drainages need what sort of erosion control structures and installing those erosion controls.
Boaz is originally from Corbett, Oregon, which is a small town near the Columbia River Gorge. He moved to Salt Lake City to get an undergraduate degree in environmental science with a concentration in restoration ecology from Westminster University. Before working at BRN, Boaz worked on the rivers of Utah and Colorado for US Fish and Wildlife, working to conserve endangered fish and as a multiday river guide. When he’s not working to restore the local watersheds with BRN, he enjoys backpacking, boating, and making jewelry.
