Southwest Skies Astronomy Festival
October 1 - 3
Join us October 1–3 for Southwest Skies, in partnership with Fred Lawrence Whipple Observatory, Green Valley Recreation, and the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association, a new festival celebrating the extraordinary dark skies of our region. The festival will feature science talks, exhibits, community events, star parties, art, and more at locations from Green Valley to Amado.
BRN is exhibiting on October 1, sharing more about our work to protect and restore the incredible landscapes and wildlife of the borderlands.

Native Seed Collection Workshop
October 17: 9 AM - 3 PM
42 San Antonio Road, Patagonia, AZ 85624
Join us for a tour of the BRN Seed Lab to learn about our operations and programs, then head out to the beautiful San Rafael Valley to learn about native grasses and our ethical seed collection protocols.
Participants will help collect seeds that will be used in a local ecological restoration project to mitigate erosion and revegetate the landscape to support healthy habitats.
