ANNUAL REPORT
2023
Hello from the Mexico-USA Borderlands!

For us, 2023 was defined by its record-breaking high temperatures and extreme drought conditions that human communities and ecosystems were challenged to endure. At the same time, the resiliency of our natural systems is striking, with flowers exploding in color even in these harsh conditions and news of a new jaguar moving into the neighborhood, giving us hope for a better future.

2023 was also a year of transition in leadership and advancement of our mission. We increased our conservation and restoration footprints, expanded the collection, production, and sale of native plants and seeds, and continued our educational programs on both sides of the international border. Our work is organized into three deeply interconnected program areas: Conservation, Restoration,
and Education, with partnerships and collaborations at the core of our activities. The following pages will highlight some of our accomplishments. They were possible through the total commitment of our amazing staff and the generous support of our funders and individual donors. Thank you.

Please enjoy this report and rest assured that Borderlands Restoration Network will continue working in this fantastic place for the benefit of all.

Sincerely,
Rodrigo Sierra Corona
