Seasonal INTERN – Borderlands Earth Care Youth Program​
​

Borderlands Restoration Network is seeking ten local youth, ages 15+, to participate in the Borderlands Earth Care Youth (BECY) paid internship program occurring during breaks in the school schedule within Cochise County. 

 

You will be trained to be a land steward and will practice marketable job skills through hands-on restoration projects and develop environmental literacy skills. The BECY Program is based on a curriculum that emphasizes the restoration of watersheds, ecosystems, and local communities, highlighting the importance of supporting sustainability initiatives in the Borderlands. Interns are required to complete a creative reflection project that will be presented at the graduation. Interns are expected to be fully present for the duration of the program, participate in all scheduled activities, complete the final reflection project, and attend graduation.

El Curso de campo en zonas fronterizas es un entrenamiento multidisciplinario diseñado para capacitar a la próxima generación de líderes ambientalistas. Guiados por facilitadores y expositores expertos se abordan los retos ecológicos que enfrenta la región fronteriza y las Islas del Cielo desde un enfoque holístico. 

 

La solicitud está disponible a través de este enlace y se cerrará el 7 de febrero de 2025. Le recomendamos no esperar hasta el último día para presentar su solicitud, ya que el personal las revisará y valorará a medida que se vayan presentando.

​APPLICATION OPEN FOR THE BORDERLANDS FIELD COURSE​

The Borderlands Field Course is a multidisciplinary training designed to empower the next generation of environmental leaders. Guided by expert facilitators and presenters, it addresses the ecological challenges facing the border region and the Sky Islands from a holistic perspective. The course is taught entirely in Spanish.​

​

To apply for the Borderlands Field Course, please use this link, applications are due no later than February 7, 2025. We recommend that you do not wait until the last day to submit your application, as staff will review and assess applications as they are submitted.
