KARLA's Bio

Karla, born and raised in Nogales, is shaped by the bicultural richness of the border region. She has a deep love for the desert, mountains, oceans, and the life that connects them all.

 

Drawing on interpretive ranger experience from multiple public land sites and environmental education initiatives, she brings a focus on stewardship, accessibility, and place-based learning. Committed to conservation and education, Karla believes nature should be experienced and enjoyed by everyone, without barriers.

 

She finds inspiration in art and adventure. Outside of BRN, she enjoys going to the movies, pursuing her hobbies, and spending time with her cat, family, and friends.
