FRANCESCA's Bio

Francesca Claverie (she/her) is the Native Plant Program Director at Borderlands Restoration Network since 2013. Her work includes directing all aspects of the native plant program with a focus on revegetation project management, nursery production, and fundraising.

 

Francesca is a graduate of the University of California: Davis with a B.A. in Native American Studies and International Agricultural Development and is finishing an M.A. in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from Arizona State University. Originally from Calexico, CA, her family has strong ties on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border and she now lives in Patagonia, AZ and is happy to be back in the borderlands. Before working at BRN she worked at the UC Davis Arboretum as the Assistant Nursery Manager assisting with propagation, research, and organizing plant sales. She enjoys hiking with her two pups, Chiltepin and Peppa Pig, serves on the board of the Sweetwater Center in Cascabel, AZ, and is an elected council member for the Town of Patagonia.
