NICK's Bio

An alum of Patagonia Montessori and Patagonia Union High Schools, Nick Botz is a longtime friend of the BECY program, having participated as an intern twice in high school and now returning for his third time as a facilitator. He moved to Arizona from New Jersey in first grade and has spent the years since being fascinated by the natural beauty of the area. Borderlands Restoration Network has given him an amazing opportunity to give back and make a real difference in the future of the natural environment, which he believes rides on the education and awareness of the whole community.

 

Outside of his involvement with BRN, Nick is studying Music Education at Arizona State University. He has been involved in the steel band, choral, and chamber guitar groups and is a student leader in the National Association for Music Educators chapter. His goals for the summer include some projects arranging music for piano, guitar, and small ensembles, and learning to do a handstand.
