YUNGHI's Bio
Yunghi Choi, a native of Seoul, Korea, has inhabited the borderland region of Arizona for over twenty years, first as a visitor and now as a full-time resident. Over these years, she has come to love deeply the unique beauty, history - both cultural and natural and the challenges of living in an arid landscape.
She earned a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from Harvard Graduate School of Design after studying art history at Radcliffe College. Her projects as a landscape architect have spanned the range from urban pocket gardens to large-scale site planning in California, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, and Texas, as well as in New England and the mid-Atlantic states.
Her current interests are focused closer to home, restoring degraded lands, learning, and using native plants for designs that will nourish all residents of the 100 acres she calls home.
