Zuni Bowls

Zuni Bowls are bowl-shaped structures used to reinforce headcuts. Stones are placed along the walls to cover loose soil which prevents the headcut from traveling further and slows down water as sheet flow travels over the edge of the bowl and slides over the rocks (instead of picking up soil) and pools in the basin before continuing down the channel.
